2. General information
The Android app “BewerbungsManager” helps users record, organize and track their job applications.
The app is primarily designed as a local application. Application and profile data are stored on the user's device. The developer does not operate a server to which this data is automatically transmitted.
3. Data stored in the app
Depending on how the app is used, the following information may be stored:
- Name and optional profile information
- Company and job title
- Location and application date
- Application status
- Contact persons and contact details
- Links to job advertisements
- Notes and other information entered by the user
This data is stored locally on the device and is not automatically transmitted to the developer.
4. Scan and OCR functionality
BewerbungsManager provides scan and OCR functionality as an input aid. Users may select images or PDF documents in order to recognize text contained in them.
Text recognition is used only to prefill input fields in the app. Recognized information should be reviewed by the user and corrected if necessary before it is saved.
The app does not transmit selected job advertisements or documents to servers operated by the developer.
5. Access to images, documents and camera
Access to images, documents or the camera only takes place when the user explicitly uses a corresponding function. The app does not independently scan or access other files or media stored on the device.
6. Backup and restore
The app allows users to create backups and restore data. A backup file may be created or selected by the user.
The storage location is chosen by the user or through the Android file selection system. Backup files are not automatically transmitted to the developer.
If the user chooses an external storage provider or cloud service as the storage location, the privacy policy of that provider also applies.
7. No registration and no online user account
Using the app does not require registration or an online account with the developer.
8. No advertising and no profiling
The app currently contains no advertising and does not create advertising or usage profiles.
9. No transfer of application data to the developer
Application, profile and document data entered by the user is not transmitted to the developer. The developer has no access to application data stored locally on the user's device.
10. Deletion of data
Stored job applications can be deleted within the app. Deleting the app or its application data removes locally stored data.
Backup files created by the user and stored outside the app's own storage may need to be deleted separately by the user.
11. Children and minors
The app is intended for people who want to organize their job application activities. It is not specifically designed for children and does not intentionally collect personal data from children.
12. Changes to this privacy policy
This privacy policy may be updated if the app's functionality or legal or technical requirements change. The current version will always be published on this website.
